Mobile Technology on a Budget
Mobile Technology on a Budget
As personal technology improves and variegates, scaled-down devices provide affordable options for users on a budget. One such device is the PEEK. Peek is a mobile emailing device that only does one thing—it allows users to stay abreast of the emails on the go. That’s it. It’s great for budget-minded families and individuals because of its low cost ($19.95/$14.99 mo. US), easy of use (instant mail set-up, QWERTY keyboard, etc.), and lack of contract. The company also provides great customer service and links to Peek’s active online community. Receiving emails on the entry-level Peek, the Peek Classic, takes 2-5 minutes for new emails to post and does not support PDFs and Word documents, but it’s perfect for seniors or anyone with simple email needs. The executive Peek Pronto ($59.95/$14.99 mo. US) works like any $200 PDA with instantaneous push email and full support of PDFs, Word docs and pictures.
By pairing the Peek with a low-cost cell phone providers like Metro PCS and Cricket, low-to-moderate income users can get PDA-like experience at a third of the cost.

We should get our Digital Connectors access to this mobile technology to test it out and to deliver it to undeserved communities!
Definitely. Peek devices would be great for DCs.
We should always keep things on a budget.Everybody is fighting the recession in one way or another. (Except for rich people – but they don't deserve sympathy.) Part of fighting the recession is handling layoffs, and for some, having to go job hunting. It's never easy, and learning how to be marketing yourself effectively is a must, but with slim prospects, you have to find out how to come up with some cash in the mean time. Some have moved back in with their parents, and many find odd jobs to earn a little extra. Don't give up searching – ever. You can't give up looking. It's hard to cope with fighting the recession with no installment loans to back you up, but don't stop the good fight.
great post.
